Wyoming candidates for governor and U.S. Senate will debate next month at Casper College.
The event is planned for Aug. 1 at Wheeler Concert Hall in the Music Building. Two separate debates will be held for the governor’s race (Democrats at 5 p.m. followed by Republicans at 6 p.m.), with Republican candidates for Senate taking the stage at 8:30 p.m.
All questions will be selected from public submissions. Here’s how to enter a question for consideration:
- Send an email to [email protected]
- Message us on Facebook
- Write to opinion editor Dallas Bower, P.O. Box 80, Casper WY 82602
Please include your name, hometown and specify which debate(s) your question is directed at. The deadline for submissions is July 25.
The event is free and the public is invited to attend. Seating will be available on a first come, first served basis. A live video stream will be available on the Star-Tribune’s Facebook page.
The Republican debates will be moderated by former Wyoming House Speaker Roy Cohee. Wyoming Rep. Debbie Bovee will moderate the Democratic debate.
The Star-Tribune is sponsoring the debates along with Wyoming Public Radio and Casper College, and they are officially sanctioned by the state Republican and Democratic parties.
