Hundreds upon hundreds of cars lined up at the Bannock County Fair Grounds in Pocatello to gobble up ‘Thanksgiving Turkey Boxes.’
The Idaho Food Bank distributed the turkey boxes and aimed to serve 12 hundred families.
About 100 volunteers assembled the Thanksgiving boxes filled with corn, green beans, stuffing, gravy, rolls, pies, sweet potatoes, yams and turkey.
“It’s just a very inspiring and a humbling experience to be able to actually get the food to where it needs to be and see smiling faces. There’s a lot of happy people and you can tell a lot of emotion involved and it makes it all worth the work.
If you would still like to donate a turkey you can take it to the Idaho Food Bank on 555 South 1st Avenue.
