A young man in the Alaska village of Manokotak died Monday after authorities say he lost control of his truck and crashed.
Darren Nanalook, 23, was driving his 2003 Dodge truck in Manokotak on the morning of Sep. 10, when he reportedly lost control, according to a report form the Alaska State Troopers.
Nanalook was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Troopers were notified just before noon.
The investigation revealed that speed appeared to be one of the factors in the crash, troopers say. Nanalook’s body was transported to Dillingham, and will later be sent to Anchorage to be autopsied.
Troopers wrote that their investigation is continuing into the crash.
