Good luck sending out any “good morning” texts.
A massive Verizon Wireless texting outage affected “a ton of customers” on the East Coast, the company announced Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the company told the Daily News around 9:40 a.m. that service was “now fully restored.” He did not provide details on why or how the outage happened.
“We’re working non-stop to get this matter resolved as soon as possible,” Verizon reps wrote on Twitter.
Numerous customers pointed out that it was not just the East Coast affected, but also parts of the South. Verizon did not confirm outages elsewhere.
Other customers started to use the hashtag #FixtheVerizonOutage.
Reps on Twitter were responding to issues by the minute as the complaints rolled in.
“Being able to send and receive your text messages is extremely vital to my day as I am sure it is to yours,” one rep wrote to a customer. “I’m saddened to hear that you are having trouble with yours.”
